Valuation Surveys

The Value of Your Vessel

Buyers, sellers, insurers want to know what a boat is worth.

Most insurance companies require surveys on older boats. They will also want to know the fair market value of the vessel. Less involved than a pre-purchase inspection, a range of value will be determined using a variety of factors including age, condition, make, model and current market conditions. This inspection is performed to gather enough information to justify or determine the fair market value of the vessel. This is normally needed for financing, estate and divorce settlements, donations and legal cases.
